We were disappointed that we needed additional MotionPlus to play as a family. What happened to including two controllers with the consoles? Now, you have to buy additional remotes, nunchuks, MotionPlus, etc. in order to use the multiplayer function. It seems like Nintendo is tricking people into spending a lot of money to play the games.

My first bad review — don’t like Wii Sports Resort. As a family, we’ve tried 3x to play it and each time asked ourselves, “Why did we buy this?”

The motion plus doesnt really seem to make much of a difference. Compared to the original wii sports these games are mediocre. True that in the new bowling there is some additional spin you can put on the ball but overall they are just trying to make money from more accessories. Other games are ok. Nothing spectacular.

This would have been a good game set to integrate with the Wii Fit.
Over all I was disappointed with the functionality of this game. If you purchase it thinking it will stimulate the players to get up and move around..think again. The only aspect of the game that offers any reasonable interactivity would be the sword play. And even that is somewhat limited.
Features like skydiving and the flight modes are useless. Just standing there and twisting the the controller is probably a great workout for your finger tips…but that is about it….a waste. Would have been a good idea to integrate the Wii Fit with these modules.
The basketball module has some promise as does the rowing. Here again, the rowing would have been interesting to integrate with the Fit.
I won’t even go into what a waste the water sports are. Couch-potatoes should find them entertaining.
I expected more from Nintendo. The game does not live up to it’s promotional videos. As it is, this game should have been given away free with the purchase of a Plus module. Or packaged with new Wii systems.
All in all I wish I had purchased this item at Costco so I could have returned it.

This software has poor motion recognition capability.
Recognition — for some of the faster paced games — is fair but, after a few minutes of game play, recognition becomes extremely poor. Re-syncing or re-calibrating the controller helps a bit but it is not very useful. As a result, you are unable to play the games properly. The table-tennis title is especially defective.
Several friends are having the same problem with this software title.
It is first a waste of money and then a waste of time.
